29th March 2023, Beijing: The first session of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Hydrogen Development Summit was hold sucessuflly from 28th-29th March 2023 with the support of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park, and organized by China Z-Park Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Industry Alliance(ZHFCA).

As the competent departments of science and technology, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park attach great importance to the development of liquid hydrogen technology and strengthen the layout of science and technology plans. In 2021, BAIC Foton and Tsinghua University successfully developed the world's first liquid hydrogen heavy-duty truck (35 tons and 49 tons) with the support of the above departments. The complete performance test showed the feasibility of the liquid hydrogen heavy-duty truck scheme. 

During the conference, China Z-Park Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Industry Alliance Technical Committee of Liquid Hydrogen announced the establishment, the secretariat of committee was jointly supported by China Z-Park Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Industry Alliance & FOTON Research Institute. The Technical Committee of Liquid Hydrogen will focus on promoting liquid hydrogen technology breakthrough, demonstration and promotion, standard establishment, and industrial development, and is committed to assisting Beijing and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region in becoming the forerunner of domestic civil liquid hydrogen technology and the pioneer of international liquid hydrogen transportation development.

The Technical Committee of Liquid Hydrogen now has about 30 members, as well as 42 committee experts. Zheng Jinyang, the Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering is honorary chairman, Li Jianqiu, the professor of Tsinghua University, is chairman of committee. The secretary general of The Technical Committee of Liquid Hydrogen is Lu Chenyu, the secretary general of China Z-Park Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Industry Alliance.
