ZTT Hydrogen (ZTTCE), part of China’s ZTT Group, has secured its first overseas hydrogen infrastructure project, marking a milestone in the company’s push to expand its hydrogen technology globally. The project will be deployed in a European hydrogen demonstration zone and will provide refueling services for a local new-energy bus pilot line designed to test hydrogen-powered public transport.

Under the contract, ZTT will supply a fully integrated skid-mounted hydrogen refueling system covering design, supply, system integration, commissioning and technical support. The compact unit combines buffer tanks, compressors, hydrogen storage systems, sequential control panels and dispensers within a single skid structure. According to the company, the equipment complies with ATEX requirements, holds CE certification and follows the SAE J2601 hydrogen fueling protocol used for fuel-cell vehicles.

Technically, the system is designed around a low inlet pressure and high compression ratio configuration, allowing it to connect directly to existing renewable hydrogen production facilities. The skid incorporates a dual-zone explosion-proof design compliant with IECEx standards and is factory-prefabricated to allow rapid on-site installation and simplified operations and maintenance. This approach is intended to reduce project complexity and shorten deployment timelines for overseas hydrogen refueling infrastructure.
