The Hydrogen Industry Technology Exchange Conference hosted by Sinopec Machinery and the groundbreaking ceremony for the Digital and Intelligent Hydrogen Equipment Innovation Park were recently held in Dongxihu District, Wuhan, Hubei Province, officially marking the launch of construction of Sinopec's hydrogen equipment industrial cluster.

The park has already completed and commissioned its digital intelligent service center, along with testing and inspection centers for hydrogen production and hydrogen refueling equipment as part of its first phase. Construction of the newly launched expansion project will focus on integrated manufacturing facilities and testing and inspection centers for hydrogen production and hydrogen refueling equipment.

Upon completion, the park will have annual assembly and testing capacity for 100 hydrogen compressor skids, 1 GW of proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer systems, and 1.75 GW of alkaline water electrolyzer (ALK) systems.

By integrating advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and digital twins, the park aims to establish a full-chain innovation platform spanning research and development, intelligent manufacturing, testing and certification, product demonstration, and commercial application. It is expected to become a globally competitive manufacturing base for hydrogen equipment built on proprietary technologies, further strengthening Sinopec's capabilities across the hydrogen industry value chain.
