The Institute for Energy and Nuclear Research (IPEN) received representatives from the Hercílio Randon Institute (IHR), of Rio Grande do Sul, for a visit aimed at monitoring and strengthening the scientific and technological partnership developed with the Center for Fuel and Hydrogen Cells (CECCO).

Participated in the visit Maicon Molon, Guilherme Cordeiro and Eduardo Reolon, who work in partnership with CECCO in the project “Evaluation of the cycling of chemically modified catalysts”. The initiative aims to advance the evaluation of the performance and durability of catalytic materials of interest for technologies related to fuel cells and hydrogen.

During the visit, the representatives of the IHR expressed great satisfaction with the development of the project and the results obtained throughout the collaboration with IPEN. The positive assessment reinforces the importance of cooperation between institutions for the development of technological solutions in a strategic area for energy transition and industrial innovation.

The visitors also highlighted the interest in continuing the partnership, recognizing the good results already achieved, and demonstrated a willingness to expand cooperation through the identification of new research, development and innovation possibilities together with IPEN.

The rapprochement between the IHR and the CECCO highlights the role of IPEN as a strategic partner for companies and research institutions interested in the development of advanced technologies related to hydrogen and energy. The continuity and expansion of these partnerships contribute to transform scientific knowledge into technological solutions with potential for industrial application and impact on the sustainable development of the country.
