Arkema is one of the world’s leading producers of hydrogen peroxide, with an industrial network of four production sites across Europe and North America. Jarrie’s site plays a central role within this network, as it is the Group’s largest hydrogen peroxide production facility.

Officially inaugurated on September 22, the new SMR unit marks the first phase of a major investment plan extending through 2028. Representing an investment of approximately €10 million, the unit supplies hydrogen to the site. It was commissioned in July 2026, on schedule, thanks to the strong commitment of the site teams and their partners.

As announced during the January 2025 reorganization, the site is refocusing on its strategic hydrogen peroxide, chlorate and perchlorate activities. The transformation of the site will continue with the commissioning of new projects in 2026 and 2027, aimed in particular at optimizing hydrogen flows and the supply of raw materials.”
