SHANGHAI — On August 31^st, Jiangsu Feiruide Technology Co., Ltd.‌ ("Flyred") and Shanghai Hydrogen Propulsion Technology Co., Ltd. ("SHPT") signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Shanghai. Lu Jun, Chairman of Flyred, and Lu Bingbing, General Manager of SHPT, witnessed the signing ceremony.

Under the agreement, both parties will collaborate across multiple dimensions within the hydrogen drone sector, advancing powertrain adaptation, aircraft integration, flight testing, and product iterations while jointly formulating industry standards for hydrogen drones and their propulsion systems, with plans to expand long-endurance applications across power line inspection, surveying, and emergency response to deploy 1,000 hydrogen drone systems within three years.

Additionally, Flyred's FR50 hydrogen drone—equipped with SHPT's fuel cell system—has completed real-world flight testing with a 20 kg payload for two hours. Designed to withstand demanding field operations such as power corridor monitoring, forest fire prevention, border patrol, and maritime surveillance, the model will next be deployed for logistics transport demonstrations.

Prior to this partnership, SHPT launched low-power fuel cell systems tailored for the industrial drone market, while Flyred brings complete platform R&D and manufacturing capabilities spanning small-to-large-scale hydrogen drones. Through this strategic alliance, the two companies aim to accelerate the integration of hydrogen energy with the low-altitude economy.
