CEEC Hydrogen Energy and ACWA Power Sign MOU to Deepen Hydrogen Industry Cooperation

SHANGHAI, China — CEEC Hydrogen Energy and ACWA Power have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to deepen cooperation across the hydrogen industry, following a meeting between senior executives from the two companies in Shanghai on September 3, 2026.
Li Jingguang, Party Secretary and Chairman of CEEC Hydrogen Energy, met with Saleh Al Khabti, President of ACWA Power China, in Shanghai. The two sides held in-depth discussions on expanding cooperation in the hydrogen industry and signed an MOU.
Li Jingguang thanked Saleh Al Khabti for the invitation and introduced CEEC Hydrogen Energy’s corporate reform and development as well as its hydrogen business strategy.
He said the global push for carbon reduction is driving rapid growth in the hydrogen industry. Guided by China Energy Engineering Corporation’s “1358” strategy, CEEC Hydrogen Energy has been developing a comprehensive hydrogen industry portfolio, investing in and constructing multiple integrated green hydrogen-based energy projects, including the Songyuan project in Jilin Province.
CEEC Hydrogen Energy aims to become a leading integrated hydrogen solutions provider and green hydrogen supplier in China and globally. The company and ACWA Power share common objectives in hydrogen development and, based on their complementary strengths and the principle of mutual benefit, intend to further cooperate in hydrogen industry investment and the development of domestic and international hydrogen markets.
The two companies will work together to promote the high-quality development of the green hydrogen industry.
Saleh Al Khabti welcomed Li Jingguang and his delegation and introduced ACWA Power’s latest developments and international project portfolio in clean energy, green hydrogen and seawater desalination.
He said ACWA Power is committed to developing broad-based partnerships with Chinese companies, sharing project and engineering expertise and jointly exploring opportunities in both the Chinese and international markets.
He recognized CEEC Hydrogen Energy’s achievements in the hydrogen sector and said the two companies share common goals in advancing the global low-carbon transition. ACWA Power is willing to further deepen full-value-chain cooperation with CEEC Hydrogen Energy in the hydrogen industry and work together toward long-term development.
