• German truck rental platform hylane has deployed a Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 electric semitrailer tractor to logistics company pfenning Group for a route trial through the Eifel region, with the vehicle on the road within days of the agreement.
• The flexible rental includes maintenance, repair, insurance and access to energy supply, with pfenning using the trial to optimise routes and charging infrastructure at its Nerdlen/Daun site.

hylane has placed a Mercedes-Benz Trucks eActros 600 with pfenning Group at its Nerdlen/Daun location in the Eifel, a hilly region in western Germany known for steep inclines, tight curves and significant altitude changes.

hylane delivered the truck within a few days, and it entered service after an on-site driver briefing.

The rental package covers vehicle provision and registration, maintenance, repair, insurance, access to energy supply and on-site driver instruction with ongoing support during the term.

pfenning says it will use the deployment to optimise routes and charging infrastructure around the Nerdlen site and further electrify its fleet.
